Lighting One Up

Rare shot of me lighting a devotional candle for my Wife and friends going through physical issues as well those going through mental and emotional issues (which includes me and just about everyone else I know.) This church was first built in 1750, and rebuilt in 1952 - it's right down the road from our place.

Sweet Ride - Stolen

My rental ride was stolen from in front of our place last night. This morning, I had to deal with the Aruba Police - I can see why they never found poor Natalie. This is my new piece of crap rental, its just like my first except it's not green - lost Sharon's wetsuit, a pair of Maui Jims' and my US Open hat.

Screaming Eagle

We went to Screaming Eagle last night - highly rated and priced restaurant. Appetizers great, entrees overcooked deserts, very good. Got to do a better job on preparing entrees - $59.00 Dover Sole should melt in your mouth but it didn't. Wonder if someone would pay us or at least pay for our meals to rate restaurants? Probably not.

It's Not Fairfield

Sometimes I think I'm watching the Nature Channel (although we don't get that down here,) but we have many varieties of plants, birds and animals. The lizard species is prevalent - Iguana's and other slithery creatures are everywhere in our yard - cool looking yellow birds and hummingbirds - I have tried to make friends but they don't seem interested. Outside our fence, roosters, malnourished dogs and goats abound. Electricity is very expensive down here and we will have to pay costs over our allowable amount, so we've kept un-screened doors and windows open during the day. It took about 5 days for the mosquito community to figure out there was alcohol-free Irish Blood available at Sol Palmas - we were inundated and have since decided to pay whatever extra it is not to be eaten alive.

Anniversary

Today is our 11th Wedding Anniversary - So much more in love than we were when we started this journey.
